Our Team

Mike "Geedra" - Owner

Mike "Geedra" - Owner

 Mike started training at a very young age, learning various Martial Arts including, Shaolin Kempo Karate, Boxing, Kickboxing, Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai and No Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Over the past 20 years, Mike has been teaching all levels of MMA for various Boston facilities. Aside from training in Mixed Martial Arts, he has played hockey

 Mike started training at a very young age, learning various Martial Arts including, Shaolin Kempo Karate, Boxing, Kickboxing, Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai and No Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Over the past 20 years, Mike has been teaching all levels of MMA for various Boston facilities. Aside from training in Mixed Martial Arts, he has played hockey since he was a kid and still laces up the skates to this day! 

Nick

  Coach Nick has been studying Boxing, Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts for over 10 years and he has been working with kids for even longer. He has served as a head instructor/program director for a youth gymnastics and sports facility, and worked as a program director/lead instructor at a karate school as well. When he is not teaching, 

  Coach Nick has been studying Boxing, Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts for over 10 years and he has been working with kids for even longer. He has served as a head instructor/program director for a youth gymnastics and sports facility, and worked as a program director/lead instructor at a karate school as well. When he is not teaching, he enjoys many other sports, but his favorite is running 5k road races.      

Tracy

Tracy has been training kickboxing since 2017.  Once she came to Southpaw to change her routine and focus on boxing she fell in love with the gym and worked her way into teaching.  Her background as a kindergarten teacher made her the best candidate to help in the youth program.  You will also see Tracy teaching the adult kickboxing classes and working at the desk.

 Brooke is an assistant Youth Program Coach here at Southpaw Boxing & Fitness. She has been training off and on in boxing over the past 2 years, and recently took an interest in training in Muay Thai. Brooke was a gymnast for 9 years on a competitive team in Massachusetts. To keep active in her free time, she like to play lacrosse.

 Growing up I started boxing at the Manchester Police Athletic League. After years of being away from it, I realized that this is where my passion truly lies. The past five years I found my love for boxing again and found that boxing has helped me overcome my shyness, helped me to gain confidence in myself  and improved overall fitness.

The past five years I found my love for boxing again and found that boxing has helped me overcome my shyness, helped me to gain confidence in myself  and improved overall fitness.  My hope as a trainer is to be able to give that to someone else.

Emily

Emily has been a program director and kickboxing instructor at a local karate school, as well as a student in Kenpo- based karate along with her daughter. She earned he rBlack belt in 2016. Emily loves sharing her kickboxing skills with others. In her spare time she enjoys hiking and roller skating.

Sean was a super fan of martial arts at a young age. He dipped his toe into karate as a young boy, and then into Taekwondo as a teen. Sean started boxing 5 years ago as a young adult, and became obsessed over perfecting his technique. These days Sean has developed a keen eye for details, and has become a respectable coach. He finds great

Sean started boxing 5 years ago as a young adult, and became obsessed over perfecting his technique. These days Sean has developed a keen eye for details, and has become a respectable coach. He finds great pleasure in helping others understand the basics and how to move. It's one thing to hear instructions and repeat them, and a whole other level to understand them and embed them into your nervous system.
