Mike started training at a very young age, learning various Martial Arts including, Shaolin Kempo Karate, Boxing, Kickboxing, Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai and No Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Over the past 20 years, Mike has been teaching all levels of MMA for various Boston facilities. Aside from training in Mixed Martial Arts, he has played hockey since he was a kid and still laces up the skates to this day!
CJ's journey began over ten years ago when he trained in a MMA class with Geedra. From there, he moved on to excelling in Muay Thai & Boxing while training and teaching at North Shore Muay Thai Academy. CJ has trained with some of the great Kickboxing/Muay Thai Legends such as, Kru Phil Nurse, Rob Kaman, Phoenix Carnevale, Eric Haycraft, Cosmo Alexandre and many others!
Aaron comes with over 30 years Martial Arts training, he is a former Muay Thai and MMA fighter has extensive training in Close Quarter Combatives, Krav Maga, Jeet Kune Do, FMA, Muay Thai, Boxing, Grappling, and Combat Jujitsu
is a certified instructor in: Jing Sai Do (CQC), Kune Tao, Krav Maga, FMA, Muay Thai, Rapid Assault Tactics (RAT- Navy Seal H2H Combat), Combat Jujitsu, and traditional martial arts.
Aaron also served in the US Air Force
Coach Nick has been studying Boxing, Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts for over 10 years and he has been working with kids for even longer. He has served as a head instructor/program director for a youth gymnastics and sports facility, and worked as a program director/lead instructor at a karate school as well. When he is not teaching, he enjoys many other sports, but his favorite is running 5k road races.
Savannah has always been in love with fitness. She did a few sports growing up in high school and started getting up early and working out before classes. She has been kickboxing and boxing since 2015 and started training to instruct in 2017. She will keep training and work toward getting certifications. Her goal is to help others fall in love like she did as well has have a whole new meaning to the word wellness.
From an early age Nicole has always enjoyed being involved in sports. Her dad first introduced to her to Mixed Martial Arts when she was in elementary school. She then trained in the Shotokan Style of Karate for several years. Throughout her schooling, she participated in a variety of sports such as soccer, field hockey, basketball, softball, golf, and rowing. She is currently certified in the Les Mills Group fitness program BodyCombat, which is a MMA style of class. She currently enjoys participating in golf, CrossFit and weightlifting. Her goal is to spread her love of fitness by providing a fun and intense workout for all participants.
Chuck is one of our cardio instructors. He began studying the art of Muay Thai 9 years ago under the guidance of Guy Chase. In the past year, he started training with Mike and CJ in No Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Outside of the gym, Chuck has a heavy background in hockey and continues to play weekly.
Brooke is an assistant Youth Program Coach here at Southpaw Boxing & Fitness. She has been training off and on in boxing over the past 2 years, and recently took an interest in training in Muay Thai. Brooke was a gymnast for 9 years on a competitive team in Massachusetts. To keep active in her free time, she like to play lacrosse.
Cameron is an Assistant Youth Program Coach here at Southpaw.
He has been training in Muay Thai the last 6 years & most recently in the past 8 months Boxing. Cam has been training to become an amateur boxer in hopes to enter into the Olympics and the Golden Gloves.
His other hobbies are Videography & Gaming.
