Before joining Southpaw, I had lost about 25lbs on my own by walking for exercise and I was feeling bored and unmotivated. I saw Southpaw was opening and saw it was something different and wanted to give it a try. So glad it wasn't the typical boring gym! I then organized a group class at Southpaw for the Town of Windham employees where I work and I WAS HOOKED!
At Southpaw, you don’t have to look a certain way, or wear a certain size to be healthy.
There’s a variety of classes and programs, as well as trainers.
Since joining Southpaw, I enjoy working out, have fun doing it, made great friends, learned ALOT about myself and became a healthier version of me; through the motivation and support at the gym!

Southpaw is unlike any gym I have ever belonged to!
I am constantly amazed that all the coaches know each member's name in class!
Every Coach is so encouraging and helps make sure we are doing all the exercises and boxing moves correctly.
Their workouts are tough, especially the MITTS Class with Mike LOL, but very do-able. I love that they vary so I certainly do not get bored.
Even after Southpaw re-opened after COVID lockdown, I still felt motivated by the coaches to stay on track and get back at it! Southpaw really does feel like a family.
In addition to the support of all the coaches, the other members are so supportive and friendly.
I really never feel like I am being judged by anyone. Never once have I felt self-conscious.
For anyone thinking about joining Southpaw,
I would say not to waste any more time and just come in.
You will not be sorry. It is worth every penny, if not more!
